Role Overview

Plaza Emporiyum, a vibrant restaurant in the heart of Magaluf, Majorca, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Waiters and Table Runners for seasonal positions during the peak tourist season (May to October). As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our diverse clientele in a fast-paced, lively environment. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences in one of Majorca’s busiest tourist hotspots.

Responsibilities

Waiters

• Greet and seat guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are communicated to the kitchen.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service.
• Handle payments, including cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service flow.

Table Runners

• Assist waiters by delivering food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately.
• Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and cutlery to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Support the team in restocking supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils, during service.
• Communicate effectively with waiters and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, including wiping down surfaces and assisting with side duties.

Shared Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues courteously.
• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including food safety regulations.
• Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues during busy shifts.
• Participate in opening and closing procedures, such as setting up the dining area or cleaning at the end of service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the seasonal nature of the role.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays or clear tables.
• A positive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences.
• Legal eligibility to work in Spain (valid work permit or EU citizenship required).
• Availability for the full seasonal period (May to October).
